3 Reasons to Be Excited for the Black Panther Sequel

3 Reasons to Be Excited for the Black Panther Sequel

The Black Panther movie was a big success, and it left fans wanting more. Luckily, Marvel Studios announced today that there will be another Black Panther film coming out in 2022, meaning the franchise will continue to dominate the box office. Three years might seem like a long time to wait, but there’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the release of the Black Panther sequel. Here are three reasons to be excited about the Black Panther sequel.

Chadwick A. Boseman

-The first movie was a huge success and has been critically acclaimed . This means that expectations will be high and so will be the pressure on Marvel if they want to make a sequel worth watching. That being said, there are some reasons to be excited about this upcoming film.

The Gorgeous Costumes

The costumes in Black Panther are nothing short of breathtaking. In fact, they're so good that they were nominated for two Oscar awards! But that's not even the best part. The main character, T'Challa, has a suit made of Vibranium which is an indestructible metal and it can absorb kinetic energy. This means that he can take a punch and not feel a thing. It's like we're living in some sort of sci-fi fantasy world! Anyway, here are three reasons why you should be excited for the sequel:

First of all, Marvel Studios released a clip featuring Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger (another villain). Second, Winston Duke will play M'Baku who is one of T'Challa's enemies.

Michael B. Jordan

Known best for his role as Erik Killmonger in Marvel's smash hit film Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman is ready to reprise his role in the upcoming sequel. With only a few weeks left until release, we're excited about everything that this movie has in store. The first trailer, released back in October of last year, set up an epic storyline with another old foe: Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis). The antagonist of Avengers: Age of Ultron, who was last seen fleeing after being outsmarted by our heroes and now appears to be back with a vengeance. Rumor has it he'll be playing some sort of nefarious role in the Black Panther sequel, but it's still unclear what exactly he'll do.

We can't wait for the release date and want you all to know that there are three reasons why you should be excited too!

Powerful Female Roles

One of my favorite things about the first Black Panther movie is how it represented powerful women. The female characters, who are all strong in their own way, include: Okoye (the general of Wakanda), Shuri (T'challa's sister and scientist), Nakia (Wakandan spy, played by Lupita Nyong'o), and Ramonda (mother of T'challa). I love that these four powerful women have such prominent roles in this superhero story! I can't wait to see what role they play in the sequel! Spin-Off Possibility: There's been a lot of talk about a potential spin-off focused on the Dora Milaje, an all-female elite task force led by Okoye. The idea has definitely piqued my interest; I hope we hear more soon!

Continuation (six+ sentences): Awesome Villains: In Black Panther 2 we will meet Erik Killmonger, one of Marvel Comics’ most formidable villains. Killmonger is also known as Black Panther because he managed to steal some ceremonial garb from a museum during his reign as king of Wakanda, and he always fights against T'Challa in order to take over the throne.
